Just finished dropping in a "new" crate motor for my hipster destroying, freedom dispensing, AMERICAN TRUCK!
Haven't driven it yet, just finished the cam break in, but it should be around 260-270ish horsepower(I de-tuned the motor before dropping it in so it would run with my TBI setup) and 326lbs ft of torque.
And some purty pictures, too bad all the header paint burned off during break in.

Why didn't you use high temp paint?
At least wrap the headers with the that high heat tape shit that comes in colors? I never took you for a fancy color coordinated engine guy anyway though.
WAYSA
(Hipster, but knows more about cars than wheatie thinks I do)
Also, nice work, grease monkey.

It was painted with high heat paint, but due to the cam break in process(that I didn't take into account when I painted them) it wouldn't have mattered if I had put house paint or space shuttle paint on them. Header paint has to bake and cure in cycles, and you can't really do that when breaking in a flat tappet cam. As far as the header wrap stuff, I will never use that again. After about six months it starts to disintegrate and turns into this super itchy fiber-powder stuff. On the plus side though, it burned the paint off of all 8 tubes, so I know all the cylinders are making power.
And thanks Waysa, you'll always be my favorite hipster. Until you vote for Hillary, and then I will have to hunt you down.

Hey weatie, how about Rand Paul?

Isn't Rand Paul the guy that executed a bunch of felons? I can't remember.
But rolling coal is a GHEY AS FUK. Retards like to bump up the injector pump on old mechanical diesels(or just use a tune with newer electronic pumps) and dump excess fuel into the cylinders. The only thing rolling coal shows is that you have a fucked up fuel delivery system that's probably washing down the cylinder walls and shortening the engine oil life.
