BF3

need some help out here,,,, kept getting kicked from BF3 servers, so they said it was a punkbuster issue,,, they said to delete a file in pb, pbdll...did that and updated to newest file..now I get this
Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'Cptcantshoot' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe

So, I tried completely getting rid of PB and reloading it, but that didn't work,,,,then tried different things w/in PB, but they also didn't work,,,  any suggestions ???

Re: BF3

Capt sounds like pnkbstrA.exe is not running at start up, type msconfig and goto startup and make sure pnkbstrA.exe is running at startup.
If not del the pb file in bf3 and reinstall then reboot and try.

Re: BF3

Had the same issue, had to open a shitton of ports on my router to get this fixed.

http://portforward.com/english/routers/ … rindex.htm

Choose router and game

Dont ask me why it worked for something that is usually unrelated to internet port access, but - it did.

Re: BF3

Try going to   services.msc and look for pnkbstrA.exe and right click it then click start and see if that helps unless its not listed in services then complete pb reinstall is needed.

I had checked there earlier and it wasn't there,,,even after re installing PB,it would never show up there,,,but for some reason, its there now,,,both A & B, their both started, but I still get the boot...

on another note, they both say PunkBuster A, & B,,,but neither have the " .exe " after them ...

my internet sec, states that outbound ports are 44301 for A, and 45301 for B with
inbound" at "all connections".... does this sound right ???, I don't believe my security is blocking, as I got rid of altogether and the game still booted me off....

Re: BF3

Take a deep breath.  Now go grab a can of scrubbing bubbles and scrub that tub.  Get mad at it.  Use a lot of spray and make sure to lean in.   Trust me.

that as my longest shot,,,,800m....althought, apparently not as long as your 1300m shot.... in the Blackhawk Down game,,,I'd hit the 1300m mark with no problem,,,its a shame they dont have a way for the sniper rifles to range their weapon to target,,,that would be a whole lot better....
